Symbiocene Mama
After an acclaimed debut studio album, Briony has written 15 new songs about having a child in 2023, looking forward then to 2110, and the depths of changes we need for the children of all species, everywhere, 7 generations forward. She’s received Arts Council funding to write string and horn arrangements for these songs, just been awarded PRS funding to record them, and this epic second album is on its way.
This will be a cosy house concert where it’s just Briony singing and playing Ed’s grand piano (unless last minute improvisers step forward???). Limited to about 25 people and you will for sure be invited to sing now and again. There’ll be some things like mulled wine, mulled cider, mince pies, hearty warm midwinter fayer by donation or cash or something like that, in Ed’s living room.
It’s a gentle fundraiser. All proceeds will be split 50-50 between the South Norfolk Green Party - our host Ed Gillespie is running for local councillor and this will support his campaign, and 50% goes to Briony’s album crowdfunder.
Family friendly, warm, social, a very wide range of ticket prices depending on how much you would like to contribute, cushions for children to play and sleep on, and soul-stirring songs.
